From August 7 to 9, 2026, Gregorio Rodríguez Martín, Mayor of Yuncos City, Toledo Province, Castile-La Mancha Autonomous Region, Spain, led a delegation to Nanjing, Jiangsu Province for a three-day in-depth inspection and exchange. During the stay in Nanjing, the inspection itinerary was compact and diverse, spanning the three dimensions of historical and cultural origins, industrial on-site inspections, and pragmatic economic and trade docking. He visited many core urban areas and key industrial functional areas in Nanjing, and gained a comprehensive understanding of Nanjing through on-site visits, discussions, exchanges, and project consultations. Development achievements in the fields of historical and cultural protection, urban planning and construction, intelligent manufacturing, digital economy and other fields, and held multiple rounds of pragmatic talks with local governments, business associations and enterprise representatives on investment policies, industrial supporting facilities, technological collaboration and other issues, laying a solid foundation of mutual trust for subsequent cooperation.
With the promotion of lawyer Xiong Chao, the Nanjing Overseas Chinese Merchants Federation signed cooperation agreements with the Yunkos Municipal Government and the Iberia-China New Era Association respectively.
